Traffic Exchanges and Rotators Part 2
Posted by: | CommentsRotators work well in Traffic Exchanges except
When you add an external rotator to a Traffic Exchange you create an unreliable rotation especially when you have many urls in the external rotator. Having more than 5 urls in a rotator added to a Traffic Exchange cuts your advertising power down by at least 10% per extra url. So if you have 10 urls in an external rotator you diminish your result by 50%.
Now lets get to the reason i write this. I saw an ad that stated i have dozens of links in my rotator and it states that lower timers in traffic exchanges gets you credits faster. I have already covered the rotator part so lets get into the timer part. Have you ever seen a site for 3 seconds and remembered anything about it? For that mater do you remember much about any site you see in a traffic exchange that you have not seen for at least 15 seconds? Do you even look at the sites that go by as you surf?
Most do not even see your sites because they are looking at the timer so they can click on to the next site. This is a problem for the advertiser(other members). Then you have the members that surf 1000’s of pages just to get a few nickles and dimes. Traffic Exchanges were created to advertise to a certain group that are interested in what you are promoting. Not to be a place to get paid to surf. So the timer really does not mater at all with the way Te’s are today. Once the pay to surf aspect is taken out them and only then you will find interested people looking at what you offer. If you are in a Traffic Exchange that pays members to surf take some time to think about this and how you feel about others not looking at what you offer.

On this day (April 13) in 1960, record-setting test pilot Robert White took his first of 16 flights in the X-15 research airplane. Part of a group of 12 research pilots from NASA, the Air Force, the Navy, and North American Aviation who flew the X-15, White would go on to become the first person to fly to Mach 4, 5, and 6. He would also qualify for astronaut wings when his flight on July 17, 1961, reached an altitude exceeding the 50 miles. The X-15 flew a total of 199 times over a 10-year period, providing crucial research in hypersonic aerodynamic performance and contributing data for over 765 research reports.

Traffic Exchanges and Rotators
Posted by: | CommentsHow do Traffic Exchanges and Rotators fit together
Traffic Exchanges in themselves are rotators so rotators fit really well. When you talk about a rotator there are different types of rotators. Traffic Exchanges being a rotator will allow members to add a certain amount of urls(sites) to the traffic exchange and as other members surf the urls that were added rotate. This rotation allows all urls that were added to be seen by all the other members.
Then you have the external or stand alone rotators much like Traffic Exchanges they allow members to add urls to a rotator. This gives you one url(link) to promote many urls(sites). The external rotator url(link) can be used anywhere and not just in Traffic Exchanges. The issue with external(stand alone) rotators is people load them up with to many urls and then wonder why they get no results from all their urls. It is a fact that before anyone will join you in any program they must see your url(site) at least 7 times.
Putting to many urls in an external rotator reduces your chance of the same person seeing your site that many times. it has been discussed in some circles that you should only add 5 urls to any one external rotator. The reason for this is, it takes less credits to get the 5 urls seen than it does if you have 10 urls. With 5 urls you add 1000 credits each url should be seen 200 times each. Plus the rotation is smoother with only 5 links per rotator.

On April 12, 1981, exactly 20 years after Yuri Gagarin launched on Vostok to become the first human in space, the United States launched Columbia on the first mission of the Space Shuttle Program. STS-1 demonstrated a successful launch and return of the world’s first reusable spacecraft. Commanded by John Young and piloted by Robert Crippen, this two-day voyage set the stage for 30 years of Space Shuttle flights. Although the Shuttle fleet was retired in 2011, the contributions and sacrifices of astronauts and scientists to this program continue to have a lasting impact on future projects like the Orion spacecraft program.

This Month in NASA History:
Five years ago today (April 7, 2010), Space Shuttle Discovery and the STS-131 crew docked at the International Space Station, joining the six astronauts already on the station to bring the number of Space Station residents up to 13. For the first time, four women were in space at the same time, and it also marked the first time that two astronauts from JAXA, the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency, occupied the station. During the 15-day mission, mission specialists Rick Mastracchio and Clayton Anderson completed three spacewalks totaling 20 hours and 17 minutes.
